Job Description
Key responsibilities:
3. Assess and monitor the creditworthiness of new and existing customers.
4. Set credit limits and terms based on thorough analysis and assessment.
5. Proactively manage and minimise credit risk.
6. Lead the collection efforts, ensuring timely payment of outstanding invoices.
7. Communicate effectively with clients to resolve payment issues and negotiate payment plans when necessary.
8. Escalate unresolved issues to management for further action.
9. Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to resolve customer queries and disputes.
10. Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients to facilitate smooth payment processes.
11. Generate and analyse credit reports to identify potential risks and opportunities.
12. Prepare regular reports for management on the status of outstanding debts and credit control performance.
13. Identify opportunities for process improvements within the credit control function.
14. Implement best practices to streamline credit management processes.
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate requires:
15. Proven experience as a Senior Credit Controller or similar role.
16. In-depth knowledge of credit control procedures and debt recovery strategies.
17. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
18. Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
19. Familiarity with accounting software and financial systems.
20. Self-motivated with a proactive approach to work.
21. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
22. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
