Planning Manager (MEP) Bridgewater Perm Competitive salary, with Travel Allowance Flexible Benefits We have a fantastic vacancy for an MEP experienced Planning Manager to join our team based out of Bridgewater to work on a fantastic major project of ours that is an exciting one but also important for the UK. The main purpose of the role is to plan and manage the planning for this major and complex project, producing workable realistic and efficient programmes of work which meet an appropriate standard for the contract conditions and both internal and client requirements. Plans will be implemented with the best-practice approach utilising Critical Path Analysis, Resource Planning, Cost Management and Progress/Productivity Monitoring and Control. Key deliverables in this role are: Work as part of the regional Senior Leadership Team; lead and manage an effective planning function, supporting projects and operations, to deliver the long-term business objectives. Lead and develop the planning team to provide an effective planning support to the business which achieves business and project objectives. Ensure internal integrated planning meetings are arranged with relevant project stakeholders to agree the team input into the project plan and work closely with said team and our external customer. Take responsibility for all allocated projects, ensuring that progress and productivity is effectively monitored against project plan, produce and circulate clear reports to the appropriate stakeholders in a concise and timely manner (e.g. Resource Histograms, 'S' Curves, Earned Value Analysis). Lead planning functions to contribute to the bid activity and work, in conjunction with the work winning team, in line with the Focus Win processes. Ensure that planning resource is allocated to work closely with relevant project stakeholders in order to agree contract baseline programmes. Analyse current and future workloads in relation to the planning process and assess the capability to fulfil contractual requirements, and to balance the correct level of planning resource. To be successful in this role you will have: Considerable experience in a planning role on medium to large MEP / Industrial Building Services projects is essential. Construction site experience Experience of NEC 3 contracts (desirable) A relevant industry or professional qualification.
