Established and respected Finance Team
We are recruiting an individual with a background in finance, ACCA, ICAEW or CIMA qualified. The Systems & Project Accountant will work on continuous improvement and system upgrade projects to grow the financial performance of the business. You will work jointly with each function in the finance team and other departments to ensure that projects are delivered on time and the benefits are realized across the business.
The company, based in Bridgwater, is an ambitious, high-growth manufacturing business that has forged its success through sales and development of niche products with partnership customers across a range of industries worldwide. This growth in sales and profitability now means that the established finance department can welcome a new team member who will support the Finance Manager with systems and process-driven Project Accounting.
The finance team is an integral part of the business and strives to be a collaborative and supportive unit delivering effective financial management.
In summary, key responsibilities will encompass the following key areas:
1. Development and maintenance of financial systems and software to meet the needs of the business, including the current financial reporting systems and future new system implementation.
2. Supporting with Financial Accounting including VAT, Corporation Tax, Statutory Audit, Statistical Reporting, etc.
3. Project involvement and leadership at departmental and business level.
4. Working with multiple stakeholders across the business to assess and mitigate business and commercial risks.
5. Developing and improving systems to enhance forecasting processes and accuracy, and analysis of the business.

The salary for this position is competitive, with working hours from 8:45 am to 5:15 pm, Monday to Friday, 22 days holiday rising to 25 (plus bank holidays), and a hybrid working policy.
