Electrical Supervisor
- Full training to become a "Project Engineer" for world leading engineering company
- £40-£42k basic, £6k car allowance / car, & bonus (£4k-£5k), company credit card, BUPA, iPhone & double pension & more
The Overview:
Are you a senior electrical professional who has maybe hit a glass ceiling? Tired of supervising a "gang of subbies" on projects? Or just fancy a change from being "hands on" in a role that is the next natural step in your career?
Fancy using all that knowledge to become a full "Project Engineer" for a world leading electrical manufacturer, running projects in sectors like rail, healthcare, and manufacturing?
We have a track record of placing people in this company over the last 12 years all across the UK, and - massively uncommon in 2024 - every single person (that's 21!) is still there, with 7 of these being promoted into more senior roles. That alone tells its own story. It offers you the opportunity to be trained up on unique equipment (things you will not have come across before) which will undoubtedly further your career.
It's very rare this kind of opportunity comes about, so we want someone who can grow into a project role with a view to even larger career opportunities.
With the basic salary, car allowance, and bonus, this will easily clear £50k a year for you.
The Role Itself:
The company has a team of Project Engineers across the UK and is now looking for someone to run and manage another part of the projects in another part of the business - with a real focus on rail. We are open to the sector you come from, as long as you have sharp electrical experience and an understanding of how projects work.
You will be trained on all their equipment, usually working with directors of client companies and looking to build relationships. The role is home-based, allowing you to plan and manage your own days - providing real autonomy - with you being on-site where needed.
About You:
We typically look to place electrical professionals who are looking to develop their skillset on bigger, more complex equipment, or for people who have hit a "glass ceiling" where they are.
You must be able to read electrical diagrams and have run projects in some capacity, but the reality is the equipment will be new, and we want someone who wants to learn and develop their career.
Our Client:
We have worked with major electrical players in the world over the years. This multinational company is present on every continent apart from Antarctica and is organically growing in the UK, giving it the feel of a growing SME (expanded by 25% in the last 4 years). They manufacture their own electrical equipment, which is provided to numerous sectors across the world and have to train new staff around such equipment - complex stuff that will be completely new to your skill set.
What Next:
If this seems like an opportunity that appeals, send your CV through, and I will be more than happy to go through this in more detail.
