The key objective of this role is to define and execute the IT & Purchased Services strategy and productivity opportunities for both UK&I and PepsiCo International within categories under management (Temp Labour, Merchandising, Fleet, HR Services, Professional Services & Travel, IT, POS & PI) through understanding local market needs, partnership relationships with suppliers, and alignment with stakeholders.
Role Dimensions
* Lead managed scope execution with an Integrated Category Management approach, ensuring sourcing delivery and cooperation with POC in enabling delivery of myBuy targets in UK & Ireland.
* Develop and enable procurement strategies for UK & Ireland through category expertise, market intelligence, and close interaction with ESSA Category Leads.
* Identify key productivity projects/initiatives within managed categories, develop and align these with stakeholders and suppliers, and implement them to capture savings.
* Ensure effective supplier relationship management: set up preferred supplier rosters, monitor and track supplier performance, and conduct periodic supplier review meetings.
* Capture the value delivered from any procurement-led or supported initiatives.
Responsibilities
* Develop and implement Indirects procurement strategies in the managed categories in UK & Ireland through driving credibility and trust with internal stakeholders, PepsiCo purchasing community, and suppliers.
* Increase and maintain procurement coverage from the current average to 75%+ for the whole ITPS in UK & Ireland.
* Sustainably deliver 6%+ pa productivity in managed scope through total cost of ownership approach, category management, and cross-functional partnership.
* Build category expertise and market intelligence for Purchased Services categories in UK & Ireland.
* Lead sourcing events at the UK & Ireland level for Purchased Services categories.
* Implement Supplier Relationship Management, evaluation processes, and relevant KPIs covering quality, service, innovation, sustainability, and value for managed categories.
* Develop and share best practices via effective networking with ITPS category leads in Europe.
* Control and governance for IT & Purchased Services categories.
* Own and manage categories on myBuy: ensure category cards and new supplier approvals are in place and updated. Responsible for delivery of planned myBuy spend and savings in categories of responsibility.
* Ensure early, proactive engagement with senior management and budget holders in UK and Ireland to understand how the Indirects purchasing team can support the business agenda and ensure Indirects strategies are aligned with business needs.
* Work closely with Finance teams to ensure Indirects value delivery is tracked, reported, and captured, enabling senior management to make timely decisions on productivity capture or re-investment.
* Coach and support the development of the local team as a senior member of the team.
Qualifications
* A strong background in Indirects Purchasing within an FMCG environment is ideal.
* Ability to lead and apply strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, and total cost of ownership.
* Sound knowledge of IT and Purchased categories with a focus on Purchased Services.
* Excellent business acumen, knowledge of financial fundamentals, and analytical skills.
* Excellent negotiation and influencing skills.
* Ability to interact with key stakeholders and build trust at all levels of the organization.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, planning and organizing, accuracy, attention to detail, and capacity to build trustful relationships at all levels of the organization.
* Role requires a combination of strategic thinking and executional excellence.
* Results-oriented – comfortable identifying, setting, and delivering against stretch targets.
* Ability to manage a high level of diverse projects simultaneously.
* Ability to communicate business strategies to suppliers and internal stakeholders and obtain buy-in.
