Job Description:
We undertake the role of Project Manager within Airport and Aviation Sectors. This includes all aspects of New Build, Refurbishment and Engineering Projects.
The Project Manager will be responsible for delivering our growing portfolio of aviation projects, overseeing and managing all aspects of the pre-contract and construction phase of our projects, ensuring contracts are delivered on time, on budget and fulfilling contractual obligations.
Location: Site and Office Based
Salary: Competitive and negotiable based upon experience and qualifications, plus car allowance and company pension.
Responsibilities:
* Day to day delivery of projects
* Developing and implementing the Construction Programme from inception to completion.
* Liaison and management of key project Stakeholders and understanding key Stakeholder requirements.
* Managing the overall design process and design team during the pre and post contract stages.
* Working closely with Commercial Managers to assist with cost planning and procurement activities.
* Developing and utilising key project documents.
* Advising on project delivery strategies.
* Programme preparation and ownership.
* Procurement and coordination of site surveys, project consultants, suppliers and contractors.
* Contract administration.
* Preparation of project specific tender and contract documentation.
* Understand and maintain awareness of the different Building Contracts available and the corresponding legislation.
* Overall responsibility for service delivery.
Essential Criteria:
* A minimum of 5 years relevant industry experience with a sound knowledge of construction.
* An ability to lead, coordinate and run construction projects.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Project and/or Asta Powerproject.
* Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
* Detailed knowledge and understanding of current industry developments.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Effective time management and leadership skills.
* First-rate literacy and numeracy skills.
* Effective problem-solving abilities.
* Commitment and enthusiasm.
* Strong work ethic.
* Ability to lead and work as part of a team.
