Key Responsibilities : Advising on all aspects of construction law, including contract drafting, negotiation, and interpretation for both contentious and non-contentious matters. Providing legal advice on standard forms of contract (JCT, NEC, FIDIC) as well as bespoke construction contracts. Handling construction disputes, including adjudication, arbitration, mediation, and litigation. Managing a caseload of construction matters for a range of clients, including developers, contractors, and sub-contractors. Advising clients on risk management, dispute avoidance, and early dispute resolution. Assisting with project development, procurement strategies, and contract administration. Keeping up to date with relevant legislation and case law in construction and related areas. Requirements : Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with a minimum of 3 years PQE in construction law. Strong knowledge and experience of both contentious and non-contentious construction matters. Excellent communication, negotiation, and drafting skills. Proven ability to manage a varied caseload with a high level of autonomy. A strong commercial awareness and ability to deliver pragmatic solutions to clients. Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Desirable : Experience in the West Midlands market is advantageous.
