Job Description
This is a unique Contract Manager position where instead of procuring goods and services you will work closely with the Infrastructure, Operations, Cyber & Technology Procurement within the Procurement Services teams, acting as a conduit between Procurement and our Legal team, providing advice and assurance activities, as well as continuously looking for process improvements to implement.
The Portfolio and Supplier Management Team forms one of the four pillars of the Procurement Team which sits in the Solution Organisation to deliver agile procurement activities and supplier management to achieve Heathrow's ambitious goals for colleagues, passengers, airlines, and the community.
Responsibilities
1. Working closely with the infrastructure / operational / cyber & technology procurement teams to ensure appropriate partnership and best practice sharing while ensuring synergy in operation for cross collaboration on common categories.
2. Conducting contract reviews, providing guidance on contract templates, process and governance and supporting contract negotiations with stakeholders and suppliers. Providing contract assurance to the business for the goods and services contracts.
3. Collaborating and developing close relationships with the procurement teams to ensure they are compliant with our governance frameworks.
4. Conduct compliance reviews and cyber audits.
5. Working closely with the Legal team to ensure the procurement team is aligned to our corporate governance when contracting.
6. Continuously monitoring for process improvements.
Qualifications
1. Experience of managing contractual queries and operating contractual administration processes and systems.
2. Knowledge of procurement activities.
3. Experience of writing and managing contracts for the provision of goods, works and services in the public or private sector.
4. Ability to review contract terms and understand risks associated with deviations.
5. Good understanding of Contract Law and good working knowledge of different forms of contract for goods, works and services.
6. Sound commercial acumen.
Ideally, you'll also have:
1. Knowledge of IR35.
2. Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to interact and influence at all levels of the business.
3. Experience of working at different levels within a complex organisation.
