The Permanent Division of Robert Half is currently recruiting for an Accounts Assistant on behalf of a technology services in Borehamwood.
The Role
As a core part of the finance team, you will provide professional and timely support on all elements of management accounting. This is a key role within a highly dedicated team, which supports the business in its ambitious growth plans.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support the Finance Manager in preparing and posting monthly accruals, prepayments and general ledger journals.
2. Assist with monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
3. Provide proactive support on the preparation of monthly management accounts. Timely and accurate bank reconciliations, ledgers and control accounts.
4. Supporting the monthly payroll preparation, as required.
5. Dealing with ad-hoc queries from across the business, as required.
Your Profile
You will have previous experience as a Finance/Accounts Assistant, with strong IT and systems skills, and a real willingness to go the extra mile for colleagues and customers. Previous experience of supporting on management accounts would be beneficial for this role but is not essential as full training will be provided. We would expect that you would be keen to study for a relevant finance qualification (AAT/CIMA/ACCA) over time and we will provide full support. Experience with MS Office (MS Excel in particular) is essential for this role, as well as excellent organisational and multitasking skills. You are a true team player with a high level of dedication to your role, the ability to work to deadlines and excellent attention to detail.
Salary and Benefits
The Salary for the role of an Accounts Assistant will be paying £26,000 - £29,000 plus pension, benefits & study support (AAT/ACCA/CIMA) Start date is dependent on the person. Location is 4 days in Borehamwood & 1 day from home once initial training has been completed and 24 days annual leave, additional day off for your birthday and more
