As an IT manager, you will work closely with the rest of the SPEC team to ensure that our company is using the most up-to-date technology to run our business. We are seeking an IT manager who will be responsible for ensuring that the hardware and software used by our company is compatible, secure, and scalable. You will also be responsible for managing our internal network and providing support for our staff.
Responsibilities
1. Oversee daily IT requirements across the UK Site
2. Plan and oversee the installation and maintenance of computer systems, hardware and networks
3. Set up and maintain company Intranet and Sharepoint
4. Maintain IT Licensing requirements
5. Monitor and maintain IT assets and information security
6. Assist with leading and training staff on IT related topics
7. Develop and implement policies related to network security, disaster recovery, and IT infrastructure
8. Analyze resource utilization and develop strategies to optimize performance
9. Establish, measure, and define IT goals and maintain an IT roadmap
10. Monitor and analyze the success of IT initiatives and projects and continually develop and evaluate new technologies and tools for the company
11. Manage development projects to integrate new technologies into existing systems
12. Manage and maintain positive working relationships with external providers ensuring cost effectiveness
13. Perform ongoing support and maintenance of all hardware, software, and network components
14. Establish a security policy to protect company information and resources
15. Communicate with management team on IT related issues

Qualifications and Experience
1. Bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science, or a related field
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in IT management
3. Strong teamwork and communication skills
4. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
5. Knowledge of industry-standard computer hardware and software systems
6. Experience with network administration
7. Experience managing on-premises servers, storage area networks (SAN), and network-attached storage (NAS) devices
8. Experience with terminal base computers
