Job Opportunity: National Tenders Manager
We, at BSS, part of the Travis Perkins Group, have a brilliant opportunity for a National Tenders Manager to manage and lead the National Tenders team, ensuring they meet and exceed the agreed SLAs. This role is vital in supporting our tenders and bids, helping us win business and ensuring continued success. You will also oversee the delivery of our Work Winning strategy at a local level through excellent project sales management.
Working hours: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm

Role Responsibilities:
* Create and develop a National Tenders Team through effective management, leadership, and development, ensuring proper training and support
* Collaborate with Directors, and key accounts at national and regional levels to deliver world-class service
* Develop succession and training plans for team members to facilitate development and career progression
* Manage team performance to meet established metrics
* Oversee workflow of plant and valve package tenders, ensuring optimal allocation and customer service
* Work with tender negotiators to maximize opportunities, including quoting products for tenders from BSS and TFS
* Coordinate with BSS & TFS clusters to promote team offerings
* Ensure consistent service delivery to internal and external customers
* Hold regular meetings with key suppliers on pricing, new products, and support
* Collaborate with regional teams to ensure correct pricing parameters for competitive tenders
* Ensure QMS procedures are followed and contracts are transitioned smoothly to branches and Account Managers
* Review opportunities for technology to record, track, and review projects
* Create and monitor KPIs for stakeholders
Required Experience:
Previous sales experience is advantageous but not essential. Essential skills include leadership through change, research and analytical problem-solving, teamwork, and product offering. Experience in tenders and bid writing is beneficial.
