Are you a technical and detail-oriented Support Accountant looking for a new role within Finance? Join our team and play a crucial role in optimizing our capital resources to enhance patient care and service delivery.
We are looking to recruit a Capital Support Accountant reporting directly to the Capital Accountant. Our finance team is integral to ensuring our resources are used effectively to support the Trusts clinical and operational goals.
The role offers hybrid working with 2-3 days per week at County Hall, Taunton and there may also be a need to travel to attend meetings across the Trust.
Main duties of the job
As a Capital Support Accountant, you'll become part of a forward-thinking finance team dedicated to excellence and innovation.
You'll be responsible for providing comprehensive accounting support for our capital projects. This includes budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with relevant policies and regulations. You'll work closely with various departments to ensure the efficient and effective use of capital funds and will need to be able to present to different levels of staff and stakeholders.
We are a supportive team who are always looking for new innovative ways of working. We are currently exploring ways that we can use robotic automation to streamline our processes and there will be opportunities to be involved in this. We can also offer support with qualifications and training such as AAT and/or ACCA/CIMA.
