This role sits within the Directorate of Future Students Marketing and Communications which is made up of departments responsible for the recruitment and admissions of UK and international students for both our Glasgow and London campuses as well as the marketing and student communications and wider corporate communications across the University.
Within this Directorate, the Recruitment Conversion, Enquiries and Events Team are looking for an experienced and proactive Recruitment Conversion Manager to play a critical role in helping the School of Health and Life Sciences meet its student recruitment targets. This position will be central to ensuring the School successfully attracts and converts prospective students, ensuring alignment with the University’s broader recruitment goals.
You will act as a liaison between the Directorate of Future Students, Marketing and Communications and the School of Health and Life Sciences, working closely with colleagues across Recruitment, Marketing, Admissions, and Conversion teams. Your focus will be to provide strategic support to the School of Health and Life Sciences, offering insights and guidance based on detailed data analysis, to maximise conversion rates and meet recruitment targets.
You will also collaborate with the Marketing, Conversion, and Recruitment teams to ensure that recruitment campaigns are effective and informed by subject area intelligence. This role demands a focus on delivering a customer-centric, data-driven service that supports the University’s commitment to excellence in student recruitment and conversion.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in marketing and conversion, or similar roles within higher education, with a proven track record of data analysis and strategy development. You will be an excellent communicator with experience in stakeholder management and with a passion for delivering high-quality service and support to academic schools and management teams.
1. Proven experience in a similar role within a marketing, conversion, or academic environment.
2. Strong data analysis skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
3. Experience of stakeholder management, with the ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams, including senior leadership, academic members, and staff from other departments.
4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with experience presenting findings and offering strategic advice.
5. Understanding of the higher education sector, with a focus on recruitment and conversion strategies.
6. A customer-focused approach with a commitment to continuous improvement.
