Job overview
This post is integral to our school and plays an important role in enhancing the opportunities for young people. This post would suit a passionate and motivated colleague who is experienced in working successfully within schools and looking forward to working with children with a range of social, emotional and mental health needs to ensure their success.
The post may require you to work in a number of our sites across the city. You will need to be flexible with your time and workload and be able to respond to changing demands.
As an Administration Officer, you will need to share our commitment and vision and want to work with a team of likeminded colleagues. Our collection of schools is not only changing but also growing. As a result, this could lead to further progression opportunities within our schools over time.
Your specific role will relate to processing and maintaining information and procedures to support the day to day running of the service. You will have a sound knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office and Outlook.
Previous administration experience is essential and previous experience of working in a school environment is desirable. GCSE English and Maths Grade C or above or equivalent is essential.
Everyone who comes into contact with children and their families has a role to play in safeguarding children. All Governors, staff, trainees and volunteers have a responsibility and role to play to safeguard and promote the welfare of children. Staff members will maintain an attitude of “it could happen here” where safeguarding is concerned. This position involves substantial access to children and is therefore subject to an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) checks for any previous criminal convictions or safeguarding issues.
We may undertake an online check for shortlisted candidates.
