About the Role
As a Stoma Care Nurse at UHL, you will deliver expert care to patients with or requiring stomas within the hospital setting. You’ll work closely with a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, and implement individualized care, while also providing vital education and guidance to hospital staff.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide exceptional care to patients with stomas or fistulas.
* Act as a patient advocate, offering support and information to empower informed decision-making.
* Liaise with hospital, community, and continuing care teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
* Offer expert advice, training, and resources to nursing staff.
* Maintain accurate records and adhere to best practices.
* Drive quality improvements through auditing and review.
What We’re Looking For:
* NMC registration with proven post-registration experience.
* Background in stoma or colorectal care.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Commercial awareness and IT proficiency (including Excel).
* Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
