The Role
As a Security Administrator, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will be key in providing professional security support to all business functions across Mission Systems and will collaborate on wider security matters across Babcock Group.
Day-to-day, you’ll be responsible for supporting the effective delivery of all day-to-day business security related matters ensuring key support functions are delivered in a smart, flexible and holistic manner to ensure the business continues to operate safely and securely.
* Deliver end to end clearance application processes for personnel.
* First point of contact for all new hire candidates, delivering all aspects of Security onboarding.
* Ensuring that all security requirements are met by the business and are compliant with Babcock Policy and other internal requirements as well as all external contractual obligations, legal requirements and policy frameworks.
* Acting as the key point of contact to both internal and external stakeholders to enable an open and transparent working relationship focused on resolving issues as they arise.
* Responsibility for regulating, monitoring and reporting on the secure operating processes of all electronic security systems.
This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 4 days in the office/onsite and 1 day working from home.
Essential experience of the Security Administrator
* A thorough working knowledge of all aspects of the relevant Government Security Standards as well as Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority (IPSA) requirements or within a regulated industry
* Possess well developed IT skills
* Good practical understanding of the general requirements necessary to maintain compliance with the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR)
Qualifications for the Security Administrator
* GCSE minimum in English and Mathematics
* NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
