We are supporting a well established and successful manufacturing business in Telford who are looking to recruit an interim HR Manager to oversee and run the HR department for approximately 3-4 months. The assignment will cover until mid-late January, where they need someone to oversee all HR in a standalone role, ensuring casework is managed effectively, continue with recruitment of temporary and permanent staff and to ensure all right to work checks and contractual documentation are raised.
As the interim HR Manager, you will be responsible for:
* Managing and co-ordinating all HR activities across the company, working closely with managers and supervisors at all levels to ensure a consistent approach.
* Managing and co-ordinating all employee training & development activities across the company to ensure that colleagues are engaged, developed and supported in their job roles.
* Ensuring compliance with all employment-related laws, rules, and regulations.
* Managing and co-ordinating the recruitment process including advertising roles, liaising with agencies, on-boarding/inductions, and employment contracts.
* Working closely with the Financial Controller on payroll policy and delivery.
* Managing and co-ordinating the disciplinary process, working with managers and supervisors across the company, participating in investigations and hearings.
* Liaising with outside agencies e.g., training & education partners, HMRC, employer liability insurers, employment law advisors.
* Managing the reception/administrative services team.
* Supporting the management of the company in all matters relating to human resources management.
* Leading in formulating and implementing policy in respect of human resources.
* Leading in formulating and delivering strategy in respect of personnel development and training.
* Participating in employee engagement and communication.
* Ensuring any ER casework is investigated and managed effectively.
* Being a member of the senior management team and company compliance officer.
* Managing a small team comprising reception and general office services.
Skills and Experience required:
To be considered for this opportunity, we are looking for an experienced HR Manager that has experience of working in the manufacturing/engineering sector. You will be confident to get up and running quickly and efficiently and be able to give this business the valuable support they need to keep the operational HR duties under control during this contract. We are ideally looking for someone who will be able to start ASAP and be available for the next 3-4 months to fulfil this contract.
