Avionics Technician Role Overview
Salary: £58,738 per annum (dependent on experience) + bonus
Location: Birmingham
A leading MRO has partnered with Aeropeople to recruit Avionics Technicians for their site in Birmingham. This is a great opportunity to join a rapidly expanding organization with a new fleet of military aircraft undergoing conversion.
The company offers comprehensive services including aircraft repairs, modifications, and regulatory certifications across 4 aircraft hangars, 2 interior modification facilities, and 40+ line maintenance stations worldwide.
This role presents an exciting chance to work alongside a team of 100 skilled engineers maintaining a 3-aircraft fleet.
You will follow a 4-on-3-off shift pattern, working early and late shifts, carrying out tasks such as avionics equipment removal, wiring harness installation, electrical and avionics work, and systems testing.
Main Responsibilities:
* Strip and remove all avionics equipment
* Install complex wiring harnesses and modify existing wiring within Avionic shelves and panels
* Perform electrical and avionics tasks
* Wiring terminations and testing
* Remove and install shelves, panels, and equipment
* Loom manufacturing and testing
* Systems testing
