BAM Ritchies are looking for a Depot Supervisor to support the efficient and safe operation of our Kilsyth yard and depot.
This role is essential in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, including coordinating deliveries, managing stock and equipment, maintaining yard safety and cleanliness, and assisting with general site maintenance.

Your mission
As a Depot Supervisor, you will be responsible for the following:
Assist in scheduling and coordinating deliveries of construction materials and equipment
Liaise with suppliers and hauliers to ensure timely deliveries
Supervise the unloading and storage of materials, ensuring proper handling and organisation
Support the ordering and tracking of construction equipment, tools, PPE, and materials
Monitor drilling equipment usage, maintenance, and servicing
Conduct regular stock checks and maintain accurate inventory records
Ensure compliance with safety regulations (LOLER, PUWER, and BAM procedures).
Oversee daily upkeep of the yard, ensuring a clean, organised, and safe environment free of hazards
Assist with site master plan implementation to optimise efficiency and safety
Conduct safety checks, enforce site safety procedures, and report any issues
Ensure all personnel and visitors are equipped with the necessary PPE and safety briefings
Assist with vehicle loading/unloading, site setups, and general yard tasks
Participate in team meetings and contribute to planning and coordination
Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and team members
Who are we looking for?
Essential:
Previous experience in a similar role within the construction or yard management industry.
Strong organisational and time management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good communication and problem-solving abilities
Preferred:
Experience handling construction equipment and materials
Forklift license and a valid drivers license
Proficiency in inventory management systems
Knowledge of Microsoft office suite
