Do you have experience in project management and creating project initiation documents?
Are you a detail-focused person with experience in working independently to achieve project milestones?
Medway Public Health is recruiting a Senior Health Improvement Project Officer on a 6-month contract for 15 hours per week, to support the Health Improvement Programme Manager with the next phase of commissioning an all-age substance misuse service.
We are looking for someone who is detail-focused with the ability to work with minimal supervision to achieve project milestones. Being self-motivated and confident in working independently is important, with a good balance in regular communication with the Health Improvement Programme Manager.
Collaboration is central to good project outcomes, and you will be required to work closely with partners to understand their priorities and how these align with the recommissioning of an all-age substance misuse service. To do this, you will need to be relational and understand competing priorities commissioners and stakeholders face.
Experience working in substance misuse or public health is not required, but you will need an understanding of designing and managing projects to improve health and reduce inequalities.
The role will require you to create project management documents, such as action logs, risk logs, stakeholder maps, and consult with the Health Improvement Programme Manager to understand the governance processes in the Council and what steps need to be completed. Strong report writing skills and excellent proofreading in English are required, along with proficient skills in using Microsoft software applications.
If you have the skills required for this role, please consider applying and we look forward to hearing from you.
