Location: Fareham, Hybrid (other locations will be considered but must be commutable to Fareham weekly)
Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum (plus a comprehensive benefits package)
The opportunity:
A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join UK Finance Operations, as a Quality Technician. You will be responsible for co-ordinating and maintaining the Quality Assurance Framework completing oversight assurance on our offshore Quality Assurance teams. Ensuring audit and audit scope deliver a customer centric model that focuses on continuous improvement thus ensuring the best outcomes for all stakeholders and regulators.
What will you be doing?
Compliance
1. Embedding an operational quality framework within Finance Operations, covering assurance methodology, monitoring targets and feedback for all our business partners.
2. Assess, evaluate, and report on the quality of process in accordance with the Quality framework and contractual requirements.
3. Complete oversight testing in accordance with the Controls framework, working to remediate any required action plans and improve the overall performance.
4. Ensure functional adherence to regulatory and governance requirements throughout the audit review process to ensure that all information and data is complies with data protection rules and regulations.
Reporting & Continuous Improvement
5. Help to build and measure success against the Assurance framework, evidencing that Quality Assurance activity achieves the targets defined or get to green programme in place.
6. Provide feedback on process reviews and improvement programs to improve results.
7. Investigate and determine root cause to facilitate the improvement program.
8. Collaborate with FinOps operational teams as well as the Continuous Improvement team regarding findings, actions, and improvements.
9. Coach and train individuals (onshore and offshore) to improve process quality, promoting root cause analysis and action planning for enhancements.
10. Understands processes, products, services, and systems to make educated recommendations for improvements.
Project & Stakeholder Management
11. Ensure quality improvements are delivered benefitting all stakeholders.
12. Ensure new processes are rolled out effectively to all impacted stakeholders as well as documenting the procedures.
13. Takes a proactive, holistic approach to business practices and processes impacted by the change.
14. Working in partnership with Governance to reduce breaches, oversight sign-off for closure and to enhance assurance processes to reduce re-occurrence ensuring controls are effective.
15. Maintain and promote effective working relationships across the business to ensure delivery through key stakeholders, managing dependencies.
16. Develop, propose and, where appropriate, lead the implementation of technical initiatives to improve processes, develop policies and generate innovation consulting with leaders and executives to improve business effectiveness and support a customer centric service.
17. Liaising closely with senior managers ensuring that all are immediately aware of any important issues that are identified during the audit review.
What are we looking for?
18. Quality Assurance experience within a regulated role, preferably in Financial Services and / or with Business Process Outsourcing
19. Experience of Internal audit
20. Obsessed with detail, looks for continuous improvement opportunities, leveraging Lean methodology
21. Excellent interpersonal skills
22. Proven skills in coaching and training others to improve performance.
23. Ability to understand process steps.
24. Excellent written and oral communication skills with strong analytical abilities
25. Highly professional, enthusiastic, positive attitude
26. Highly proactive and driven, able to instigate, implement and manage change and hand over new process to process owners/teams.
27. Application of analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills to help validate the quality review and root cause analysis.
28. Experience with Excel and Power Tools is essential
29. Excellent stakeholder management
30. Able to independently meet deadlines and work under pressure.
