Teaching Assistant Location: Abergavenny Pay: £77.40 – £90 per day depending on experience. Start Date: ASAP. Monday to Friday : 8:30 am – 3pm. Currently, Teaching Personnel are working with a well-known secondary school in Abergavenny, catering to pupils aged between 11-16. The school is seeking an enthusiastic individual to become a Teaching Assistant and be a part of their team. Teaching Assistants work closely with children in either a 1:1 setting or as part of smaller groups. While being a Teaching Assistant can have its challenges, it can be an extremely fulfilling job to work in. As a Teaching Assistant, you will be working closely with the lead teacher within the school premises. The school offers on-site training while Teaching Personnel provides a vast range of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses to support your professional growth. Responsibilities of a Teaching Assistant: Prepare learning materials and support the teacher. Create a friendly welcoming environment where the pupils can thrive. You should be reliable. Able to build relationships with pupils and make them feel comfortable. Take part in training and other activities offered by the school. Help children understand daily activities and develop understanding. Requirements: Enhanced DBS clearance, registered on the update service (or willingness to apply). EWC registration (or willingness to apply). Ability to provide 2 recent references. Right to work in the UK, ensuring compliance with legal regulations.
