Role Purpose
At the biggest live entertainment arena in the UK, we’re looking for a Senior Maintenance Engineer to create an industry leading music and entertainment experience for our fans, artists and the community of Manchester. You will become the ‘go-to’ person at the venue for technical and mechanical operations, taking the lead on technical maintenance, both planned and reactive. This is a truly exciting opportunity to develop new processes, policies and ways of working from scratch and driving incredible performance.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Maintenance Engineer, you will be managing and building a brilliant team of technicians who will deliver the best fan experience. You will be an excellent leader injecting positivity and passion into the team, creating opportunities for development, supporting people to be their best and supporting a high performing work environment. Building strong, positive, engaging working relationships with the wider operations teams - Venue Management, Security & Health & Safety teams, you will successfully deliver the operational requirements for events and private hires.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
* Knowledge of Electrical and Technical systems, particularly within large complex or venue
* Qualified Electrician, with competency in other disciplines such as Fire Alarm, Audio Visual, HVAC
* A great leader, who can influence and inspire others
* Self-motivated, confident & can use initiative.
* An infectious can-do approach to provide the UK’s best venue facilities
* Results focused, driving exceptional results through your team and others
* Experience leading facilities in a public-facing venue and ensuring it’s safe and well-maintained operation
* Working in a busy high paced environment, planning, and delivering a variety of events.
* Effective collaborator, able to work with colleagues across the organisation to design and embed systems and processes which meet our needs
* Positive relationship building across venue teams and third-party contractors
