The Performance, Assurance and Evidence (PAE) Team oversees the performance of ministerial departments and public bodies in understanding and reducing the impact on fraud by monitoring performance, maintaining the evidence base and undertaking assurance and review activities.
PAE is recruiting an SEO to work as part of the evidence team managing the data collection and analysis for the team. You will work as part of an enthusiastic, dedicated and diverse team with a variety of backgrounds including data management, assurance, performance analysis and counter fraud expertise. This role is a balance between understanding and interpreting the data, being able to manage the information and engaging with Departments and ALBS.
You will need to be able to take the initiative and show your understanding of counter fraud activities, typologies and response. With an emphasis on understanding the evidence base and assessing performance you work with the team to provide briefing and updates to departments, Ministers and the senior leadership of the PSFA.
As part of the PAE team, you will also be the performance lead for a department, working closely with them to understand their counter fraud landscape and their barriers to delivery.
Responsibilities
* Work closely with the other members of the team produce the PSFA evidence base.
* Build external relationships with departments and their ALBs to enable them to complete data commissions to a high quality and on time.
* Understand the evidence base including the levels of detected, prevented and recovered fraud and error. Challenging the quality of the information and making improvements to the reporting process as a mitigation.
* Prepare high quality, informative updates and reports to Covid counter fraud commissioner, PSFA leadership, the Perm Sec, Ministers and Parliament ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
* Be able to present to a variety of audiences.
* Maintain records and MI to understand the areas of activity being considered.
* Be an active part of the wider PAE team, participating in activities and providing support to others when needed.
