Our client is a national chartered surveyors, with growing work within the Southampton/Hampshire area (and surrounding areas). They specialise in both residential and commercial surveys, and pride themselves on their excellent quality and technical knowledge. The work covers Level 2 and Level 3 home surveys, party wall, valuations and other related works for residential clients in and around Southampton and Hampshire. The role The role is a home-based role and the patch would be tailored to your location, so it would suit someone based in or around Reading, Berkshire, or South Oxfordshire. From Georgian and Victorian properties to new builds to Grade II listed cottages, the work is varied and interesting. The role is very flexible and entirely home-working, with no points or timesheets. The person The ideal candidate will be an RICS chartered building surveyor or an experienced AssocRICS surveyor, and be confident in carrying out residential building surveys. They must have an eye for detail and a thorough understanding of building defects, maintenance and repairs. You will need to have experience of: RICS residential building surveys a wide range of structural and building defects preparing and presenting comprehensive, accurate survey reports providing clear, concise, justified conclusions working independently and within a team structure liaising with clients, both verbally and through written correspondence A full UK driving licence is required.
