We are now seeking an experienced HGV Technician as follows:
Salary: £36,400-£42,080 depending on experience and qualifications plus overtime and benefits.
Your OTE will be £43,000-£48,295.
Role
Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 40 hours. Shifts alternating between 07:00-15:30 and 14:00-22:30. Alternate Saturday mornings will be required and paid at time and a half.
Responsibilities:
1. Service, maintenance, and repair on the Ferrari of the HGV Commercial Vehicle world.
2. Join in relevant product training when required.
3. Conduct roadside repairs for customers from time to time.
4. Work in a state-of-the-art workshop within the depot or VMU.
5. Maintain good practice of cleanliness and organisation, although the site will have a Cleaner/Maintenance person to assist with this.
Candidate
Must have a can-do attitude, be a team player, and possess good timekeeping skills (mandatory).
Will be a great communicator with excellent customer service skills.
Could hold a Cat C or C+E HGV driving licence to drive vehicles for MOT (ideal).
Should possess a full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points (mandatory).
Would be happy to assist with the training of apprentices coming into the business and/or have previous training experience (ideal).
Might be a time-served HGV Technician, HGV Fitter, or HGV Mechanic.
Can prove full UK right to work (mandatory).
Ought to provide a steady career history in the form of CV and references.
Must have own tools (mandatory).
Could have a NVQ L3 or City & Guilds qualification in HGV service, maintenance, and repair.
