The Role:
Education World is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant with experience supporting pupils with complex needs. Based in Derby, this role involves working closely with students who may have profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), or significant communication and sensory needs. You’ll be part of a nurturing school team, providing vital one-to-one or small group support.
What We’re Looking For:
Experience supporting children with complex SEN, including PMLD, ASD, or non-verbal communication.
A patient, calm, and empathetic approach to meeting individual needs.
Confidence in using alternative communication strategies such as PECS or Makaton (preferred).
Flexibility to adapt and respond to a range of needs within the classroom.
Teamwork and communication skills to work closely with teaching and support staff.Key Responsibilities:

Assisting with personal care and mobility support where required.
Supporting access to learning using adapted resources and strategies.
