Your New Role
As a Senior Retail Risk Analyst, you will:
1. Support the Head of Retail Risk in the review, analysis, and implementation of Retail Risk policies.
2. Analyse the performance of scorecards and suggest improvements where necessary.
3. Identify and provide explanatory factors for main variances in reporting.
4. Perform checks on the quality of data, investigate and reconcile discrepancies.
5. Design, maintain, and disclose credit strategy monitoring frameworks & controls (e.g., auto-decision, policy exceptions, DLAs, risk scorecards).
6. Support the development of retail credit scoring models and scorecards.
7. Assist with the development and implementation of models and policies into production.
8. Provide support in the preparation of material for forums involving Retail Risk and present and discuss the material as required.
9. Monitor and oversee Collections activities and KPIs (stock, arrears, defaults, remarketing activities) to assess the performance of portfolio strategy and/or operational performance metrics, as well as cost, resources, and productivity targets.
10. Work collaboratively with Collections to optimise strategies and maximise recoveries on delinquent accounts/minimise net losses after costs.
What Experience You Will Need
1. Proven experience in retail risk analysis.
2. Experience with SAS, Python, or SQL system and desirable to have worked within financial services.
3. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
4. Experience with credit strategy monitoring frameworks and controls.
5. Proficiency in data analysis and reconciliation.
6. Ability to develop and implement credit scoring models and policies.
7. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
8. Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
