Spider is advertising on behalf of a high-quality dog food manufacturing company for a Picker & Packer Operative to join their production team in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk.

About the role:
As Picker & Packer Operative, you'll play a crucial role in their dynamic team, ensuring timely and safe packing of customer orders. Working hours are Monday - Friday 06.00 to 14.30 OR Monday - Friday 18.00-05.00.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
* Efficiently managing the intake and outflow of stock from fridges and freezers while maintaining temperature safety.
* Picking and packing orders according to customer specifications.
* Conducting stock rotation to ensure freshness and quality.
* Confirming freezer standards and ensuring compliance.
* Wrapping pallets of finished products for despatch.
* Loading of finished product orders onto vehicles (DPD or company owned).
* Safely moving pallets from freezers to the unloading dock and transport.
* Adhering to strict freezer time limits (maximum of 1 hour at a time) with supplied freezer coats and gloves.

The ideal candidate will need to thrive in a fast-paced environment and be detail-oriented. You should have a strong work ethic and a passion for quality and safety in food handling. A commitment to following procedures and maintaining high standards is essential in ensuring the products meet expectations. Previous experience in a food production environment is advantageous.
