Casual Supported Living Worker

Preferable for applicants to hold a valid manual UK/EU Driving Licence and be over the age of 25 to comply with Motability Insurance criteria. This is so that they can support the customers into the community in the customers own vehicle.
£12.00 per hour, £50 per sleep in shift and we offer great benefits!

As a Casual Supported Living Worker, you’ll be at the heart of supporting our customers who have complex needs to develop their skills to live more independently in the community, in our registered CQC service. You’ll make a big difference each day as you help our customers achieve their hopes and aspirations. Amazing we know!
Typical day as our Flexible Supported Living Worker
• Assisting customers with practical, daily living tasks to develop their independence, helping them to achieve the goals, aspirations and outcomes documented in their support plans.
• We help our customers achieve their goals, this can be doing anything from keeping their home clean and tidy to arranging fun filled days out
• We have a range of different customers to support across North Tyneside and Northumberland. We support customers who have more complex care and customers who require support with their everyday living in their own flats.
• Support to attend appointments, take part in hobbies and interests or attend college or work
• Supporting customers with their personal care and medication needs
• Carrying out risk assessments, support planning, goal setting and regular reviews.
• Cuppas, chats and catch ups. There’s no rushing from one customer to the next here! Plenty of time to work together with colleagues too.

You have
• A Level 2 Health and Social Care Certificate or are prepared to work towards it!
• Passion to support our customers to live their best life, working together with an eye for detail
• Experience of caring for others, you may have worked in care before or have experience of caring for others such as family members or children
• Experience of working on own initiative, remaining calm under pressure and having a resilient approach
• A flexible, personal approach, listening to customers to understand their needs, recognising every customer is different
• To make sure that our customers can achieve their goals, you must hold a valid UK/EU driving licence and be over the age of 25 to be covered by Motability insurance.
Due to limits on our current certificates of sponsorship, we are not able to offer sponsorship to external candidates for this role. This remains under regular review

Our Registered Manager Briony and Client Services Manager Georgia are very passionate about supporting the team to work at their best and achieve fantastic outcomes for the customers. We are a small team and love to support each other!
Job details
• Flexible working hours
• We pay £50 per sleep in shift
• We're looking for you to work across North Tyneside and Northumberland, which includes our Monkseaton, Whitley Bay, Morpeth and Blyth services.
• Able to use technology to update support plans, complete online learning and to collaborate with colleagues.
• You’ll need an Enhanced DBS check done and we pay for that.
