An independent school in Leatherhead is looking for a Physics Teacher who is a well-qualified, enthusiastic, and experienced educator. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a commitment to providing a high-quality education to students.
Day-to-day of the role:
1. Lead and inspire students in the study of Physics and Science, fostering a love for the subject.
2. Teach Physics and other Science subjects, ensuring at least one is delivered to GCSE level.
3. Embrace and contribute to the school’s aims and objectives, actively participating in school improvement initiatives.
4. Monitor, evaluate, and review pupil attainment to ensure consistent progress.
5. Employ creative problem-solving to support student progression.
6. Plan and deliver creative and stimulating lessons, utilising support from the central education team.
7. Set and mark homework in accordance with departmental and school policies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
2. Relevant and successful teaching experience in Physics and Science.
3. Proven ability to plan, resource, and deliver effective learning experiences across all age groups.
4. Inspirational and motivational approach to pupil learning.
5. Experience in successful team working and collaboration.
6. Ability to create engaging learning resources for students of all abilities.
7. Strong commitment to self-evaluation and using data to inform planning and teaching.
8. Right to work in the UK.
