We are seeking 2 talented individuals to join our bids & tenders team as Tendering / Bid Engineers.
Job Description
The successful candidates will bring their expertise in automation, control systems, and tendering to support strategic growth objectives in the energy sector. This position offers a unique opportunity to impact highly regulated industries and help deliver innovative, efficient solutions that drive performance on a large scale.
This role requires both technical acumen and commercial awareness. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SCADA, HMI, PLC, and DCS technologies.
Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate with Business Development Managers (BDMs) to provide technical support for automation and control system architectures, ensuring precise cost estimates and project requirements are met.
* Oversee bid governance and tendering processes to maintain compliance with internal standards.
* Establish and maintain relationships with technology providers, staying updated on advancements to deliver compliant, forward-thinking solutions.
* Develop comprehensive, structured proposals that highlight key differentiators and value propositions for clients in the energy sector.
Key Skills
* At least 5 years of experience in automation, particularly within the digital, control, and safety spaces, with a focus on software, hardware, or electrical engineering.
* Proven experience in the tendering process, including procurement and cost estimation, with strong commercial acumen.
* Knowledge of the energy generation and renewable sectors, ideally with a software bias, as well as familiarity with major OEMs (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell, Schneider Electric).
* Basic understanding of Cyber Security standards (e.g., IEC 62443) and their application within control systems.
