In this role, you will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team supporting the delivery of our in-house immuno-oncology therapeutic antibody programs. The position is predominantly laboratory-based, and you will contribute to projects from an early target evaluation stage through to post-candidate nomination to IND and beyond.
In the role you will:
* Design and carry out 2D and 3D cell-based assays to profile the activity of our drug candidates using human cancer cell lines, blood-derived immune cells, as well as patient tumor samples.
* Develop, evaluate, and implement experimental read-outs to maximize data generation and novel technologies and methods for process improvement.
* Work closely in a matrix team to interpret complex data and select the best antibody candidates to take forward.
* Give regular presentations locally as well as company-wide.
* Contribute to routine laboratory tasks including reagent/consumables ordering and maintaining a clean laboratory environment.
* Conduct accurate data analysis and documentation to ensure traceability, including writing SOPs, risk assessments, reports, ELN entries, and other necessary records.
* Adhere to corporate standards regarding code of conduct and safety, aligning with Agenus' policies and procedures.
* Expertise in working with human primary immune cells.
* Proven track record of running multicolor flow cytometry assays.
* Prior experience with 3D-cell culture systems (e.g., spheroids, organoids, or tissue fragments) and/or immunohistochemistry/imaging would be an advantage.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Qualifications: About you
* Ph.D. in relevant scientific discipline with academic or ideally industry-related experience; Master’s degree or native equivalent with directly related experience; or Bachelor’s degree or native equivalent in scientific discipline with related experience.
