About the role
Are you ready to help shape the future of one of the UK's leading mutual insurance and financial services companies? We are looking for two experienced Strategy Managers to guide and support our long-term strategic direction. In this high-impact role, you'll lead strategic projects, support the development of forward-thinking plans and consider strategic options.
You'll be responsible for challenging and guiding critical programmes to ensure they align with our long-term goals and using your strategic planning expertise to develop, implement, and monitor planning processes that connect our long-term vision with medium-term and annual business objectives. Your insights will shape and inform NFU Mutual's strategy and you'll collaborate with the Executive, Senior Management and Board to drive NFU Mutual's long-term success.
A confident communicator and skilled relationship builder, you'll be absorbing wide ranging and complex information and data, simplifying it, and presenting insights to inform high-level decision-making. Your strategic decisions will then be typically delivered through NFU Mutual operational teams.
This role is known internally as a Senior Strategy Consultant.
About you
You'll have an extremely strong background in strategic planning and development within Financial Services (Life, Investments & Pensions) and/or General Insurance (Personal or Commercial Lines). You'll be a visionary thinker with the drive to shape strategy at a high level alongside the following skills:
* Strategic & Market Expertise: Deep understanding of relevant industry trends, market dynamics, and strategic planning.
* Analytical Insight & Visualisation: Ability to interpret complex data, visualise insights effectively, and support strategic decision-making with financial reporting knowledge.
* Critical Thinking & Problem Solving: Skilled at analysing challenges, thinking critically, and delivering innovative solutions.
* Influence & Communication: Exceptional communicator, with storytelling ability to simplify and present ideas at the Executive Committee level.
* Collaboration & Resilience: Strong relationship-building skills, a respected professional reputation, and resilience to thrive in dynamic, high-stakes settings.
* Experience within Financial Services (Life, Investments & Pensions) and/or General Insurance (Personal or Commercial Lines) & Strategic Planning and development is essential for this role.
