Electrical Engineer - Low Voltage
Location: Isle of Grain, Rochester - Onsite
Contract duration: 12 months – Inside IR35
Our Client an Energy infrastructure company are seeking Electrical Engineer ( in switchgear, transformers and distribution systems) and this role is placed within Oil & Gas, Energy and Construction industry based in Rochester location for a 12 months contract Inside IR35.
Role
The Electrical Engineer will play a crucial role in supporting the Terminal Program Delivery Manager, ensuring the effective administration of various project work scopes within the asset Re-life extension team. This role involves overseeing the coordination of all project stages and reviewing all aspects of the Contractor’s design to ensure efficient delivery.
Responsibilities:
The Electrical Project Engineer will ensure the technical adequacy of engineering and design. It includes reviewing Contractor deliverables and collaborating with the Contractor
You will be coordinating the development of pre-contract scope, specification, and programme, understanding contractual requirements, managing/resolving the Management of Change program (MOC), coordinating purchase requisitions, and monitoring suppliers’ compliance with purchase order conditions.
The successful candidate will oversee several high-profile projects, including.
* As an Electrical Engineer you will be managing Phase 1 Tank Base Heating Replacement, Phase 1 Tanks In tank and ex-tank LNG Pump cable seal replacement.
* You will be involved in LV Low voltage and HV High voltage switchgear upgrades.
* You will be Assessing onsite Back up Power (Requirements for Standby or Emergency Generation), Site wide UPS Systems reviews, Transformer Upgrades,
* Supporting Engineers in Process, Mechanical, Control & Instrumentation with Electrical input, typical example projects include: Instrument Air Package replacement, Remote actuation of existing site manual valves, Gas Flow meter replacement, Supporting site HAZOP Action Closure, Condition Monitoring of rotating equipment and Safety Instrument Function Improvements.
Experience
* Experience working on Upper Tier COMAH sites.
* Experience of working with Low Voltage, 3.3, 6.6 and 11kv switchgear, transformers and distribution systems.
* Degree / HND qualified and preferably be a Charted Engineer or working towards being a Chartered Engineer.
