Job Overview An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Triage and Assessment Team to come and join at a time when we are evolving. The role will include completing triage and assessments with clients with a range of mental health issues, ensuring clients receive the most appropriate assessment of their needs and on-going referral to treatment/support services. Working collaboratively with locality team staff, to ensure the best outcomes for clients. Your team base will be at St Andrews Place, Hull, and cover Hull and East Riding. You will be part of a supportive team of staff and will have the opportunity to gain skills and experience in the triage and assessment of clients. You will also work closely with colleagues within Community Mental Health services to ensure client's are given a collaborative approach to their care and assessment. Person specification Experience Essential criteria Appropriate knowledge/experience of working in mental health/learning disability clinical practice areasle to demonstrate effective inter-personal/communication skills Understanding of caseload management responsibilities Desirable criteria Evidence of continuing professional development (CPD) relevant to the clinical area at specialist level of careEvidence of promoting/supporting active user/carer involvement/participation Evidence of promoting/supporting active user/carer Act as Care Programme Approach (CPA) co-ordinator Qualifications And Knowledge Essential criteria Part III or 13 of NMC live register Willingness to undertake mentorship training and responsibilities A broad understanding of relevant policy, legislation drivers and their application to clinical and service area Standard IT skills Desirable criteria Be on the live register for mentors Demonstrable experience of mentoring pre-registration students Full understanding of relevant policy, drivers and their application to clinical and service area. Full understanding/application of relevant clinical practice/standards/audit within identified clinical area Skills And Competencies Essential criteria Evidence of good time management skills Able to demonstrate effective interpersonal/communication skills Ability to commute between the various sites Desirable criteria Ability to manage daily operations and maintain a safe working environment Working knowledge of Trust policies and procedures.
