About the Firm
We are recruiting on behalf of a reputable law firm based in Northampton, known for its expertise in residential property law. The firm has a longstanding reputation for delivering high-quality legal services to individuals and families, with a strong focus on residential property matters. With a supportive working environment and a client-focused approach, the firm offers an excellent opportunity for a dedicated Residential Property Paralegal to join their expanding team.
Key Responsibilities
As a Residential Property Paralegal, you will assist the residential property team in managing a variety of residential property transactions. Your key duties will include:
Assisting with the sale, purchase, and transfer of residential properties, including freehold and leasehold transactions.
Supporting the management of remortgages, transfers of equity, and new build transactions.
Conducting property searches, including title and planning searches, and liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other parties involved in the transaction.
Drafting and reviewing contracts, lease agreements, and other legal documentation under the supervision of a solicitor.
Ensuring compliance with anti-money laundering (AML) regulations, Land Registry requirements, and other legal standards.
Maintaining accurate case records and managing client expectations through regular communication.
Assisting with the resolution of property-related issues, such as boundary disputes and rights of way.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, encouraging repeat business and referrals.
Key Skills and Experience Required
Previous experience in residential property law is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of the conveyancing process, including relevant legislation and regulations.
Excellent client care skills, with the ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly and professionally.
Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
High attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Experience using conveyancing case management systems is advantageous.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
