Dawley Brook Primary School is are seeking a brilliant L3 Teaching Assistant to join our happy team of children, staff, parents and Governors to work in our new SEND Resource Base - Oak Tree, a cohort of 12 children with EHCPs. About US Ofsted said (March 2024) : The highly inclusive culture is one of the standout features of Dawley Brook. Pupils who have struggled elsewhere thrive here. Staff identify pupils with special education needs and/or disabilities (SEND) and provide them with the resources and support they need to succeed. For those pupils with higher needs, including those who attended the resource base, the curriculum is adapted well. As a result, these pupils are settled and are making good progress with their learning. Our children say: ‘It’s a fun school and a happy place.’ ‘We make friends.’ ‘I like being kind and working hard.’ ‘I like learning and playing.’ We are looking for a new member of our team to support children with EHCPs within Oak Tree Class, working alongside our amazing SENDCo, Base Teachers, SEND HLTA and our teaching team of staff. This post is for a L3 SEND Teaching Assistant (32.5 hours per week, term time only), 12 months fixed term contract in the first instance but there may be the opportunity to continue given provision needs.
