About The Role
Currie & Brown is looking for an apprentice quantity surveyor to join our Haywards Heath office.
The successful candidate will work on some of the most exciting construction projects and join a team delivering benefits and a lasting legacy for the communities in which we live and work.
You will be given training and development opportunities so you can develop and support project leaders in generating a high standard of knowledge across service delivery, achieving successful outcomes for our clients, enhancing our culture of innovation and reinforcing our reputation as a preferred service provider.
The successful applicant will attend university on a part-time basis, one day per week, to gain a degree in quantity surveying, while working in the office for the other 4 days. You will therefore need to have the prerequisite school or college qualifications to gain entry onto a university course to study a BSc Quantity Surveying degree.
Responsibilities will include:
1. Supporting the production of feasibility cost estimates
2. Undertaking measurement and quantification using software solutions
3. Supporting the preparation of tender documentation
4. Reviewing tender documentation, which will initially involve data capture for benchmarking and future cost plans
