Gowerton School is a thriving 11-18 secondary school located on the edge of the Gower in the very heart of the local community. The governing body of Gowerton School wish to expand the current Senior Leadership Team and are looking to appoint a dynamic and motivated Deputy Headteacher from September 2025. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and experienced school leader to play an integral role in the future success of the school.
As Deputy Headteacher, you will work alongside the Headteacher and Senior Deputy Headteacher to provide visionary leadership and strategic direction for the school. You will play a key role in the continued development of the school, driving high standards in teaching, learning, and pupil outcomes. You will support the school’s values, ensuring a positive and inclusive culture and help to shape the future of the school.
Governors are seeking to appoint an outstanding professional who will continue to lead the school in its excellent work and who:
1. Has had a successful experience in a leadership role within the secondary education sector;
2. Has the vision, knowledge, experience and leadership skills to build on the existing strengths of this popular secondary school;
3. Has the personality to inspire and motivate pupils and staff;
4. Will be approachable, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
5. Will embrace and develop the school's excellent relationships with the community;
