Neuro Long Term Conditions Clinical Lead Nurse
We are looking for an exceptional nurse leader who is experienced, innovative and committed to making a real difference to the Neurology service. This is a key nursing post, sitting within the Neurology Department senior nursing team, supporting the nurse consultant and matron through leading the clinical nurse specialist team to develop our services to a new level of excellence.
They will be joining an established team of a Matron and Nurse Consultant, who are responsible for taking forward the nursing vision as well as being highly involved in service improvement and performance. This post holds line management responsibilities.
Main duties of the job
They will be an experienced senior nurse who has held previous leadership roles, including at an 8a level and possess a proven record of delivering safe and high quality patient care.
They will be a highly visible leader, able to evidence how they have positively influenced nursing and patient care, have experience of innovation and change management and can demonstrate ongoing professional development.
Patient safety and experience will be a priority, with an emphasis on compassion and dignity.

Person Specification
Education, qualifications and training
* Minimum 5 years post registration
* Post registration qualification in relevant specialist field
* Degree level or equivalent knowledge and skills
* Advanced communication skills training
* Masters degree in a health related subject
* Independent prescriber
Experience
* Significant post registration clinical experience with relevant specialist senior role
* Experience of managing a team
* Experience in teaching and facilitating
* Operational management experience or experience as a ward manager
* Research experience and dissemination
