Team Leader - Plymouth Area
Part and Full Time roles considered
£13.80 for all management hours & £12.30 for support hours
£75 per sleep in (Sleep in shifts on a regular, ad-hoc or cover basis may be available, but are not a requirement for all roles)
We are seeking an organised, confident, passionate and caring individual to lead a small team currently supporting five gentlemen with learning disabilities and autism living in their own homes in the Plymouth area.
You will work as part of our leadership team to facilitate the completion of regular audits, staff supervisions, training, support with rota management, documentation reviews and updates, and liaising with families and professionals. The role will also involve working with the Registered Operations Manager and Support Planning Officer with the transition process for any new people we may support, including the recruitment, training and organising of a new support team, creating a bespoke person-centred support plan and liaising with family and other professionals.
Ideally, you will have an NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care, a background in person-centred care planning and delivery, and knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS). Knowledge of current CQC regulations would also be advantageous. You will have experience providing person-centred services for people with learning disabilities and autism and familiarity with supervising a team. You will be able to use your IT skills to effectively use basic systems designed for efficient reporting. What is essential is a positive attitude, resilience, and a natural ability to get along with others, and a desire to assist the people we support to live their best life and be active citizens in their community.
You will know what good record keeping looks like and be able to manage your time effectively. Furthermore, whenever you communicate with others, whether it be the person we support, co-workers, family or circles of support, you will be considerate and kind.
As a Team Leader with eLIVEate, professionalism teamed with kindness and compassion will be at the core of everything you do. Your role will entail planning and implementing the kind of care and support that will provide a real sense of security, dignity, and independence.
We will consider full time and part time applications as this role can include support hours to enable a full-time position or be facilitated as a part time role based on 2-3 days of management time a week only. A flexible approach to working hours is needed in order to meet our operational needs, but the same consideration will be given by us to support any personal needs and to ensure a good work-life balance. In addition, this post holder will support the out of hours on-call service on a rota basis. This role may also provide an opportunity for further personal development, with the aim to provide leadership across additional individual services in the future.
* You will need to be a driver with a full licence so to support with getting out and about, as all the people we support have access to their own vehicles.
* Working hours will vary, this may include some evenings, weekend hours and sleep in duties.
* Support schedules are planned in advance to ensure the needs of the person are met in the most effective way, and so that the support team can enjoy a good work-life balance.
