Pony Pursuits are looking for an Equine Groom Apprentice to join our small family-run team. The right candidate will have a passion for helping to care for horses and enjoy working with our young clients who attend our riding centre. Working with and caring for horses.

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
Pony Pursuits is a riding centre which specialises in non-formal riding experiences, such as country hacks, ride and groom sessions, pony therapy and birthday parties. There will also be opportunities to attend public and private events.
Duties include:
* Mucking out
* Grooming
* Turning out and bringing in
* Tacking up
* Dealing with customers

Training
An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.

Your training plan
You will be working towards achieving your Level 2 Equine Groom apprenticeship, and also completing your maths and English Functional skills at level 1 or 2 if required.
All training will be completed at the employer's premises by the employer and Haddon Training.
