Role Summary We are looking for an experienced Pensions Programme Manager who will be responsible for managing complex and large client programmes of work. Typical programmes will include end-to-end GMPe including data and calculations, data cleanse, PIE, rectification projects, member communication exercises, and derisking activities for the journey to buy-in and buyout. This is a Hybrid position where you will work from any Aptia office, as well as from your home address. What you'll be doing: Manage complex programmes, and at times project work stream elements of larger projects, to deliver end-to-end business outcomes. Ensure programme deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and to a high level of client satisfaction. Establish and oversee an appropriate programme governance structure and manage all project stakeholders and project team members in the successful delivery of the programme, including managing their tasks, project workload, and deadlines. Ensure comprehensive scope documents are in place at the start of each project within the programme, and continuously review the scope documents as the projects progress, suggesting changes of scope, as appropriate. Identify where there are crossovers, interfaces, and interdependencies with projects within the programme and ensure that the most effective and efficient solutions are sought. Provide accurate and timely cost estimates for project work where requested, together with providing regular reporting on project fees and discuss any fee issues. Interact and communicate effectively with project teams, third party providers, and clients. Provide technical support and input to Aptia Client Directors on project proposals of average to difficult complexity. Research and provide recommendations on new best practice standards. Undertake regular work stream and project meetings, documenting and following up on actions and risks identified from the meetings. Negotiate resource requirements with responsible management when faced with conflicts in priorities. Explore and recommend solutions to the project requirements for projects where there is no identified precedent. What we're looking for Background in pension administration, including DB, DC, and insured pension schemes. Experience of managing pensions administration projects/programmes of work. Experience with working with senior stakeholders, internal and external. Proven ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues. A willingness to learn new skills and be adaptable to a changing environment. Ability to work well under pressure and adjust workloads accordingly. Ability to work independently and self-manage complex projects. Be an excellent communicator, adaptable, have strong business acumen and client facing experience. Experience of setting and controlling budgets. Escalating and managing out of scope items and fees. Qualified PRINCE2 Practitioner Combined experience of trust and insured based arrangements.
