Teaching Assistant
About the role:
KS1 TA: A Part-Time Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant (TA) role starting in January 2025 in a vibrant primary school in Harrow. The role involves supporting Year 1 students, particularly EAL learners, with focused interventions and boosters. This position is available due to the current TA moving on to new opportunities. You will work 3 days per week alongside a supportive team, helping children with literacy, numeracy, and general class activities.

Application Requirements: Teaching Assistant:
• Experience working with children in Key Stage 1.
• Knowledge of supporting EAL and SEN students.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• A proactive and adaptable approach.
• Ability to assist with literacy and numeracy interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support the teacher with class activities.
• Lead small group interventions for EAL students.
• Monitor and track student progress.
• Assist in preparing resources and setting up activities.
• Provide emotional support and personal care as needed.
