An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and dynamic person to work as an Occupational Therapist (Band ) within the Conwy Community Resource Teams within Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board.
The position would be based within one of Conwy's Community Resource Team's (CRT) where you would be expected to work as an autonomous practitioner with colleagues from an integrated health and social care team. You would work closely with the Occupational Therapists within the other Conwy CRT's providing cover across the county as required.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will provide prompt Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention to support the discharge to assess and review pathway and to reduce the risk of people being admitted to hospital. You should have significant experience of working within adult physical health services and with patients in their own homes.
You will be a self-motivated practitioner, with an ability think on your feet, and will have developed effective problem solving and communication skills. You should be able to demonstrate advanced clinical reasoning skills. There will be an opportunity to develop both clinical and leadership skills.
The successful candidate will be responsible for some of the day-to-day management and supervision of junior staff within the department. Formal supervision and completion of annual appraisals with junior stuff will also be required. In addition, the post holder will contribute to the wider Occupational Therapy service audits, service developments, attending meetings.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
