Framework is opening a brand-new, purpose-built accommodation service in NG5 for women facing severe and multiple disadvantage in Nottingham City.
The accommodation will consist of 15 self-contained flats, including 2 adapted flats with disabled access. There will also be a training room, residents laundry room and garden area for the residents to use.
This is a brand new service and there will be an emphasis on trying new and innovative approaches in terms of engaging, supporting and helping residents to fulfil their full potential.
We are looking to recruit 1 full-time Support Planner. Working hours are Monday Friday, 9am 5pm.
Whilst some experience of working in supported accommodation projects is advantageous, it is vital that applicants are able to demonstrate the correct values, and a good understanding of:
The issues affecting women experiencing severe and multiple disadvantage
Their support needs and how best to meet them in ways that work for the residents
Trauma and psychologically informed approaches
Working in a way that celebrates innovation and partnership working
Service user consultation and involvement
Due to the sensitive location of the project, experience of managing relationships with neighbours and local agencies would also be highly advantageous.
Duties and responsibilities:
Work with residents to create individual support plans highlighting their support needs and actions to take.
Carry out regular support sessions; following the individual support plan and the actions set.
Have excellent communication skills and be able to build rapport with residents.
Be able to assess individual residents' skills and needs, working positively with risk.
Ensure that tasks identified in support plans are communicated to Support Workers and these tasks are clear, appropriate and agreed with the resident.
To support residents to engage with a process of resettlement into appropriate long-term accommodation.
Assist residents with basic budgeting and life skills in order to support them to live independently.
To carry out domestic tasks around the service to maintain the health and hygiene of the physical environment.
To understand and actively promote the organisations values (Respond/Respect/Empower).
Identify your own development needs and actively seek opportunities to expand your knowledge, skill and experience to meet the developing needs of the service.
