Short Summary:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Project Manager to lead the implementation of a Laboratory Information System (LIMS) to our NHS client.
As the primary liaison between Magentus and our NHS client, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the project, ensuring successful delivery within agreed timelines, scope, and budget.
The role requires exceptional leadership abilities, strong communication skills, and a deep understanding of both project management principles and the intricacies of system implementation in healthcare settings.
Key Responsibilities of the role:
1. Develop and manage a comprehensive project plan in collaboration with the client, outlining key milestones, deliverables, and resource requirements.
2. Deliver projects on time to the required customer specification and within agreed timelines and budgets.
3. Liaise and manage relationships with all project stakeholders including Healthcare Organisations and other third-party suppliers where there is a Prime contractor involvement.
4. Produce and maintain all project documentation in accordance with PRINCE2 methodology (e.g., Project Initiation Document, Highlight reports, Project Plans etc).
5. Provide weekly project updates for the Programme Manager (and Prime Contractor where required) highlighting any contentious issues / risks and project RAG status.
6. Maintain the project risk logs, managing and mitigating our exposure to associated risks and escalate as appropriate.
7. Ensure project documents and Customer sign offs on all phases of work are complete, current, and appropriately stored.
8. Ensure all post project activities are completed and the project closure checklist is completed.
9. Collaborate closely with all appropriate project stakeholders to ensure they have a clear understanding of the Project; objectives, timescales and that project team members fully understand their individual roles and responsibilities; provide motivation on project delivery.
10. Ensure that any new elements or upgrades of software and hardware are fully tested and user acceptance is signed before installation is allowed to ‘go live’.
11. Deal with customer issues and resolve as appropriate.
12. Provide PM cover for Project go lives and Project RFCs - this may include out of hours cover including weekends and evenings when necessary.
13. Maintain time management record of own activity using Company time recording application.
14. Ongoing maintenance of compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements including GDPR/ ISO / IG.
What experience do I need:
1. A wealth of project management experience of delivering software implementations into the NHS and other healthcare networks.
2. Previous experience with the Pathology field.
3. Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients and team members alike.
4. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
5. Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering innovative solutions that meet client needs and expectations.
6. Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools, with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
