The Role As an IT Technician, you will be a key part of our service delivery team, providing essential technical support and ensuring our clients' IT systems run smoothly. This role will require a blend of on-site and remote support for both on-premises and cloud environments. Your primary responsibilities will include troubleshooting, maintenance, installation, and upgrades for a variety of IT systems, including desktops, servers, networks, and cloud-based applications. Key Responsibilities Provide 1st and 2nd line support to clients on-site and remotely. Troubleshoot and resolve issues across on-premises and cloud infrastructure. Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software. Monitor system performance, manage backups, and perform regular maintenance tasks. Maintain documentation for processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps. Collaborate with the wider IT team to enhance service delivery and client satisfaction. Provide guidance and training to clients, where necessary. Maintain adherence to service level agreements (SLAs) and escalate issues as needed. Contribute to IT projects, including migrations and upgrades. Skills and Experience Technical Knowledge: Proficiency with Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems. Experience with cloud solutions, particularly Microsoft 365, Azure, and/or AWS. Familiarity with network configuration, vitalisation (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), and backup solutions. Troubleshooting: Ability to diagnose and resolve issues across hardware, software, network, and cloud environments. Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users. Organisational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities, meeting deadlines effectively. Qualifications 2 years of IT support experience in a managed services or similar environment. Certifications such as CompTIA A, Network, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, or similar are advantageous. Full UK driving license required (some travel to client sites).
