About the role
As a Warehouse Operative / Store Person, your main role will be organising the stores and stock rooms. Responsibilities include:
1. Loading and unloading supplier delivery vehicles in a timely manner using the relevant equipment
2. Dropping-off and collecting stock, materials and parts, both locally and throughout the UK
3. Updating the Company’s records, databases, systems and paperwork relevant to the inward and outward movement of stock, material and parts
4. Ordering parts and stock items
5. Preparing and packing inward and outward stock materials and parts orders, including preparation of courier documentation
6. Ensuring that store areas are kept clean and safe at all times
7. Ensuring stock levels for the engineer’s Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) are maintained, including issuing PPE to engineers and updating PPE records
8. Contributing to the stock taking process and updating the relevant Company records, databases, systems and paperwork
About the person
The ideal candidate for the position of Warehouse Operative / Store Person must be / have:
1. Strong organisational skills
2. The ability to complete assigned tasks safely and on time with minimal supervision
3. A team player
4. Confidence using basic Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel and Outlook emails)
5. An understanding of relevant health and safety legislation
6. Full Driving License
About the salary and rewards
As a Warehouse Operative / Store Person you will receive an excellent salary of £18,000 to £23,000 per annum depending on experience. You will also receive:
